Pleasant Grove Cemetery

Ok.Full disclosure: I love walking around cemeteries. Ever since I went to the gorgeous Cemetiere du Pere Lachaise in Paris, I have been very intrigued by them. I just find them so peaceful and calm. The stillness of it all strikes me. In warm weather, there are flowers galore and nicely manicured greenery. The ones with famous people laying at rest have huge towering tombstones that look like houses. In contrast, your average cemetery will have a couple of tiny slabs with no names on them whatsoever.

Porta-potty a few feet away from a grave?! Don't seem right!

Don't take a walk in the park, try a graveyard :)

Juneteenth in Ithaca, NY 23.6.12

June 19th is the celebration of the day slaves in Texas got the news that the war was over and they were free. On this day you will find festivals and block parties bringing communities together for a day of fun. It has been shortened to 'Juneteenth' over the years.

She was watching me the whole time.

They were damn good! Not gonna lie...I was skeptical at first.

You Should Be Listening To...Yuna

  Find your light.
Don't hide from what you are.
And rise before you fall...
Live if you really want to.

Malaysian singer-songwriter signed to Pharrell's Fader label. She has this dreamy voice combined with  lovely, meaningful lyrics. Perfect chill music. Plus her head wrap game is on point!

Like lullabies, you are
forever in my mind
I see you in all,
the pieces in my life.
Though you were mine,
you were my first love.
